1st June 2014 saw three Regulations introduced into UK law.

The Regulations introduce new exceptions into the law or extend existing exceptions.

They are:- 

 

For members of the British Copyright Council the second of these (Research, Education, Library and Archives) continues to raise questions about the definition of, and distinction between, educational establishments and libraries. The BCC also notes a number of issues arising from the Regulations that are being left to rights holders to resolve, if the Regulations are to work in practice and for the benefit of users.
