Artificial Intelligence.

Responding to the Secretary of State’s statement today, Stephanie Reeves, Director of Policy and Public Affairs at the British Copyright Council said:
“The BCC welcomes the government’s decision today to hold off introducing copyright exceptions. The UK’s gold standard copyright framework is the foundation upon which the success and global competitiveness of the creative industries has been built.
We look forward to taking forward the workstreams announced today on:

- Labelling AI-generated content
- Creator control and transparency
- Independent creatives.
We look forward to working with the Government to ensure the continued growth of effective licensing solutions to meet the needs of the creative industries and AI developers”.
