Who uses the Small Claims Track? What type of copyright cases does it deal with? How easy it is to use?

These questions and more will be answered during an event chaired by HH Judge Richard Hacon, Presiding Judge, IPEC with a panel made up of District Judge Janet Lambert who has direct experience of the Small Claims Track (SCT); John Walmsley of Education Photos, a photographer and owner of a small specialist image library and who has practical experience of the SCT process; Gwen Thomas of the AOP contributes a recent case study and speaks as someone responsible for advising her members on using the SCT and Nicola Solomon of the Society of Authors, also speaking from the creators’ perspective but informed by her judicial experience.

This event will be of interest to those responsible for advising their own members on use of the Small Claims Track for copyright cases but should also interest those with a legal, technical or academic interest in this aspect of the judicial process.
