The 2025 WIPO-IPO-BCC Course marked a return to form for the training program which is now in its 44th year.

Delivered over five days in venues spanning central London, the 13 delegates from across the world, joined colleagues representing the British Government from the IPO, global colleagues from WIPO and experts in their field from amongst the BCC membership who delivered sessions covering topics from CMOs to AI and Copyright.

In addition to lectures and workshops during the day, we also hosted three social events, including a Celebratory Dinner in Westminster with Guest Speaker, Lord Tim Clement Jones.

“Alongside the Course’s role in knowledge sharing and network building amongst colleagues working on IP and Copyright across the world, the Course continues to enable the BCC to maintain its excellent working relationship with the course partners WIPO and the IPO. We look forward to building on the relationships made during the week with WIPO, the IPO and our international copyright colleagues in 2026.

We are tremendously grateful to the BCC members who supported the course Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS), Educational Recording Agency (ERA), Musicians’ Union (MU), PPL and PRS for Music (PRSfM) and those who so kindly hosted us including the Society of Authors (SoA) and Bird & Bird.”
